Winter Scene




Step 1


Open your image in PI, duplicate it twice and close the original. Position the images in way you see at least big part of them both. Select one of the images, go to Edit/Fill and fill with white. Now you have one image and one white canvas open in your workspace. Pick the Clone paintbrush (you can also use airbrush), my settings are size 155, Transparancy 73, Soft edge 85. Press and keep Shift kay and click with mouse in your image, if you are using the same photo (recomended for first try), suggestion is to click on the head of left swan. Select your white canvas and try to make a first touch approximetly in the same place as in original. Do not make strokes, just click once then move to another place, the idea is to make a random spots including both swans and the plant at right. See the images below.

Step 2


Continue working with brush and accenting the swans until you are happy with your image.




Step 3


Right click and select all, right click and convert to object. Go to Edit/Fill and fill with white. Go to Effect/Noise/Add noise, when dialog box comes out click on Options. Check Monochromatic box and set Variance to 23. Go to Format/Invert. Right click - Properties and set Merge to Addition. Merge all. Go to Effects/FM Tile Tools/Blend Emboss apply default value. You can save now your image, may be you will finish it later in a different way, so Save As to keep it.


Step 4


Right click and select all, go to Edit/Trace/Selection Margues and apply default values. Change Mode to 3D. In your Easy Pallette find Material Gallery/Glass and apply L12. Go to Effect/Material Effects/Texture Filter/Translucent Glass and apply default settings.




Step 5


Go to Format/Hue and Saturation, pull Saturation slider down to 0 to dissaturate your image. Go to Edit/Fadeout, use the settings shown below, click ok, repeat it 3 more times. Merge all. Add a frame of your liking and you are finished.
